Penticton Safety Village Summer Camps

Penticton Safety Village is excited to share we will be holding Kids' Summer Camps this year at the Safety Village!! Register now!

* Ages 5 - 12 (children have to already completed kindergarten to attend.  They must be turning 6 years old by December 31).

* All camps are half days with drop off from 8:30 am - 9am and pick up from 12:30 pm - 1 pm.

* Daily activities will include open bike time, safety education, arts and crafts related to the weekly theme, and group games. Every Monday, the group will collaborate on decorating a mural that will evolve throughout the summer. Alongside this, we'll engage in activities centered around kindness and inclusivity, fostering connections with new friends each week.

* Weekly Registration is $175 with the exception of short weeks (July 1st & Aug 5th will be closed for stat holidays). Short week registration will be $140. That works out to $35 a day.

Payment Options: We are happy to provide flexible payment options.  A non-refundable 50% deposit is required upfront. This ensures your commitment to attending the camp and helps prevent unfilled spots due to no-shows. The remaining balance for each camp needs to be paid 48 hours in advance of each camp. We are not charging interest or any fees to split the payments. To register your child, proceed with the manual payment option. Daily Schedule:

8:30 to 9 am - Drop-offs occur. Kids have free play

9 am to 10:15 - Daily art & craft activity. Each day will have an activity that fits the theme of the week.

10:15 to 10:30 - Free play/bike time

10:30 to 11:15 - Snack time

11:15 to 12 - Game or group activity in the Village.

12 to 12:30 - Lunch (bring your own) and then free play/bike time

12:30 to 1 - Pickups occur. Kids have free play/bike time

Weekly Themes:

July 2 - 5th Superheros - Crafts will include making superpower bracelets, masks, and capes. Games will include an obstacle course, catch the villian, capture the flag, and an elasti-stretch relay. Special guests will include FireSmart Penticton.

July 8 - 12 Cartoon - Crafts will include making wands, paper plate people, bubble art, and chalk drawings.  Games will include tissue box games, coloured ball table game, a caterpillar obstacle game, and make a face.  Special guests to be confirmed.

July 15 - 19 Art & Music - Crafts will include making spiral suncatchers, tye-dye items, nature's windchime, and a bird feeder/house. Games will include musical chairs, freeze tag, hot potato, and kick the can.  Special guests to be confirmed.

July 22 - 26 Holidays - Each day will be centered on a yearly holiday. They will include Valentines', Family Day, Halloween, Christmas, and New Years. Crafts will include making rock painting, card making, sun catchers, plate faces, and dream catchers. Games will include parachute game, obstacle course, ghost bowling, snowball spoon game, and karaoke. Special guest on July 25th - think grinchy ;)

July 29 - Aug 2 Animals & Pets - Crafts will include making birdfeeders, make a turtle, a terrarium, and paper plate crafts. Games will include Mr. Crocodile, dice animal, parachute game, and animal charades. Special guests GottaGoat Farm!

Aug 6 - 9 Water Week - Crafts will include making coffee filter butterflies, ice painting, tye-dye, and watercolour painting. Games will include pass the water, obstacle course, water balloon volleyball, and duck duck splash. Special guests to be confirmed.

Aug 12 - 16 First Responders - Crafts will include making colour-themed spinners, emergency vehicle plates, hat plates, and bracelets. Games will include capture the flag, cops & robbers, red light/green light, and an obstacle course. Special guests will include the Penticton Fire Department & FireSmart Penticton.

Aug 19 - 23 Space & Science - Crafts will include making galaxy jars, slime/playdough, water colour planets, and chalk galaxies. Games will include an asteroid toss, science scavenger hunt, science experiments, and walk the moon. Special guests to be confirmed.

Aug 26 - 30 Carnival/Circus - Crafts will include making paper plate masks, party hats, cotton candy puff paint, and creating a clown. Games will include an obstacle course, and various yard games daily. Special guests to be confirmed.
