Safety Legends - Grade 4 & 5

Service Description

We are beyond excited to introduce brand-new programs for our Grade 4 and 5 students in 2025! Over the years, we’ve heard from families that their children love returning to the Safety Village year after year, and this year, we’ve developed even more engaging, hands-on activities to keep them excited and learning. In Level 3, students will dive into real-world safety scenarios, with topics designed to challenge and inspire them: Electrical Safety – Spot the Hazard: A fun and interactive workshop that teaches students to identify electrical hazards around the home and school, empowering them to make safe decisions. Presented by the Energy & Environment department with the City of Penticton Water Safety: Learn essential safety tips for swimming, boating, and staying safe near water. Fire Safety & Home Escape Plans: Students will refine their fire safety knowledge and create detailed escape plans for their homes. Cycling Safety Badge: Test cycling skills in a challenge that combines road safety with bike handling. The new programs in Level 3 are specifically designed to be engaging and relevant to older students, preparing them for real-life situations. We are excited to watch them grow into Safety Legends, equipped with the knowledge and confidence to handle emergencies, identify dangers, and make smart decisions.
