Service Description

Level 1 Objective: A New Focus on Road and Pedestrian Safety – No Bikes! This year, we’re making a big change to our Level 1 curriculum! In response to the growing number of students who are not yet able to ride a bike, we’ve decided to remove bikes from the program for Level 1 altogether. Instead, we’re putting all of our energy into teaching road and pedestrian safety—and we’re excited about the opportunity to build new, engaging lessons specifically designed for this age group. By focusing on these crucial safety skills, students will: *Learn Pedestrian Safety: How to walk safely and cross streets with confidence. *Practice 911 Emergency Training with Ambulance Paramedics of BC: Learning how to respond in emergencies and make critical phone calls. *Explore Fire Safety: Understanding fire drills and how to act in fire emergencies. We will also look at Burn Awareness training. With this shift, bikes are not needed in Level 1. We’re thrilled to dedicate more time to creating an interactive, hands-on curriculum that strengthens the foundation of safety for all students. Once they’ve mastered these skills, we’ll introduce cycling safety in Level 2, completing the journey to a full safety education. Level 1 is a morning class, typically 9 am until 12 noon. There is flexibility for schools traveling and bell schedules. The cost is $40 per class attending, up to 3 classes a booking.
